Lexus is a doe of extremes. Very tall and extremely long.(well over 40" long and stature 35). Not slacking in width either, she scored 35 in rump width the last three years. Very "V" shaped over the top! (VG front end) Also having an excellent mammary, she just needs her spring depth to remain, and she will be hard to beat. The very best does seem to just keep getting better with age, and require patience, Lexus is one of those does. I think next year will be Lexus' year to bloom. Working hard freshing with triplets the last four years, she has been an excellent brood doe. (daus Carrera 3yrVG89, Corvette 2yrVG87) Chevelle and her daughters from this year also look very promising.
This year Lexus was shown just one time as she does not like to travel or show, and she was 2nd in one ring, and 1st & RGCH in the other. She pleased us at appraisel time, getting a final score of EX 91 EEEE!, and I honestly think this doe will just continue to get better with age.
Lexus's dam Lekili is one of our all time favorite does, being extreme as well, particularly in depth, width and front end. Many people comment they have never seen such a wide alpine! Very well put together, she scored EX92 EEEE, and has been twice top ten at nationals, with sons working in several herds with beautiful daughters. This is a very consistent dam line, and we are thrilled to have Lexus as the foundation for our entire herd.
Bred to *B Pearl Valley Laredo Milagro, this line breeding should help reinforce the genetic base for correctness in width, levelness, EX rear legs, correct front ends, and help "finish" Lexus' mammary. I am expecting very "Mandolay" type bodies. She is due 3/12/12
